Letters with Sounds

We are going to look at sound symbols and what happens when they are placed with letters.
Lets look at Alef and Hey with all the sound symbols:

To help and make it a bit more fun I have added some facial expressions:

Now we will only look at some examples, with a few letters.
I have used names for the words as examples.

Alef א with sound symbol 'a' and silent

Like in the names:

אָרוֹן     אַרוֹן - Aaron

אַשֶׁר     אַשֶׁר - Usher
Alef is silent here

גָ'אק  -   Jack

Kuf ק with sound symbols 'e' and quick sound

Like in the names:

קֶרִי - Kerry
Kuf makes quick sound here
אֶרִיק - Eric

Mem מ with Sound Symbol 'ee' and quick sound

Like in the names:

מִלִי - Millie

מִיקי - Mickey

 Remember mem at the end changes its appearance
אַדָם - Adam

Resh ר with Sound symbols 'o' and quick sound

Like in the names:

רֹרי - Rory

אַרוֹן - Aaron
Resh makes quick sound here

אוֹסְקָר - Oscar

Dalet ד with sound symbol 'oo' and quick sound

Like in the names:

דֻק   דוּק - Duke
Dalet makes quick sound here
